God Created You, He Loves You, and He Wants to Have a Personal Relationship With You for All Eternity.
1 We have all sinned against God and are in need of the salvation He has provided.
Romans 3:10,12, 23 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one… there is none who does good, no, not one…For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 7:18 “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells…” James 2:10 “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked…” Isaiah 53:6 “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way. Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.”
2 The penalty for sin is death. Because you are a sinner, you deserve death.
Romans 5:12 “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death…” James 1:15b “…sin, when it is full-grown brings forth death.” Ezekiel 18:20a “The soul who sins shall die…”
Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” This verse describes what spiritual death is: separation from God. Sin also brings physical death: separation from your body. Together these two deaths result in “the second death”: eternal separation from God in Hell. Revelation 20:14-15 “Then death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 21:8 “But cowardly, unbelieving,…and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Because you are a sinner, you deserve eternal punishment in Hell.
3 God Himself in the person of Jesus Christ paid the death penalty for your sin on the cross. Jesus shed His blood for you, suffered for you, died for you, and rose again for you. All because He loves you and wants to rescue you.
II Corinthians 5:19, 21 “God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself…For He made Him (Christ) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” I Corinthians 15:3-4 “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Peter 3:18 “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.”
4 You must believe and receive Jesus Christ by faith to be saved and to go to Heaven. You must trust, depend and rely on Jesus as your only hope of Heaven.
John 1:12
“But as many as received Him (Jesus), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”
John 3:16-18
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
I John 5:11-13
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”
John 14:6
“Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me.”
Now that you know these 4 things, you can be saved. You need only to ask Jesus to save you and He will. Jesus will save you from Hell and give you a home in Heaven. Just believe that Jesus can and will save you.
Acts 16:30-31 “What must I do to be saved? So they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.” Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:21 “And it shall come to pass, that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Would you like to ask Jesus to save you right now?
Dear Jesus, I realize I am a sinner deserving of Hell. I believe you died and rose again to pay for my sins. Today I put my trust in you alone as my Savior. I here and now call upon you to save me from Hell. From now on, I trust you Jesus, to get me to Heaven. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
Repeating a prayer does not save you. Trusting Jesus does. Did you trust Jesus to save you? If you did, you will go to Heaven when you die and nothing can ever change that.
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast.” John 10:28 (Jesus said) “And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” Romans 6:23b “…the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Once you are saved (the Bible also calls it “born again” John 3:3-8) you need to grow and mature spiritually. II Corinthians 5:17, I Peter 2:2, II Peter 3:18. Find a church that emphasizes Bible preaching and salvation by faith in Jesus alone. Then get baptized and confess your faith in Jesus Christ.
